Casey Neistat is a YouTube vlogger that I, like many others, admire. He mentioned something in one of his videos that went along the lines of 'I force myself to create because if I don't, I won't', which pushed me to look back on my own creations.
And I ask myself this: why haven't I pushed more? Sure, I've done some videos, some photos, and designed some flyers since then, but in the grand scheme of things, why haven't I done more?
And by "more" I mean, why haven't I pushed myself further along my creative journey?
Answer: because I've hit a plateau due to comfort. I'm so disgustingly confident in my own abilities that I haven't tried to grow. I haven't been really doing anything, just merely throwing things together.
This is a realization that has been haunting me.
